David Thomas "Dock" Wardrip
David Thomas “Dock” Wardrip, 94, of Brandenburg, passed away Monday, November 8, 2010 at his
residence.

He was a long time member of the Brandenburg United Methodist Church, retired from the Plumber’s Shop
with Civil Service at Ft. Knox, KY, a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II, and Dock and Anna Mae
celebrated 70 years of marriage on September 28, 2010.

He was born March 9, 1916, in Brandenburg, the son of the late George T. and Betty Lawson Wardrip.

Mr. Wardrip was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Wardrip.

He is survived by his wife: Anna Mae Lampkin Wardrip; 2 Daughters: Patricia (Wardrip) Baskins and
husband David of Louisville and Lollie Benham of Brandenburg; 1 Brother: Emmett “Pardner” (Dorothy)
Wardrip of Brandenburg; 2 Grandsons: David Baskins, Jr. of Louisville and Tim Baskins of Brandenburg. 4
Great-grandchildren: Peyton, Dewey, Emilee and Lance Baskins, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. E.S.T. Thursday, November 11, 2010 from the Brandenburg United
Methodist Church with burial to follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, November 10 and after 9 A.M. Thursday at the Bruington-
Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
