Hazel Laverne Sipes, 79, of Brandenburg, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at her residence.
She was a member of St. John’s Church in Brandenburg.
She was born June 27, 1928, the daughter of the late Henry Hardin and Nora Bogard Crawford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Sipes; Her daughter Carolyn Sipes; 2 Sons:
John. B. Sipes and Paul G. Sipes; Her sister, Agnes Fortune and 3 brothers, Robert, Shelby and
Herman Crawford.
She is survived by 4 children: Charles Patrick Sipes of San Antonio, Texas, Dennis Edward Sipes
of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Thomas Anthony Sipes of Guston and Monica Ann Sipes of Brandenburg.
8 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, February 29, 2008 from the Chapel of the
Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with Rev. John M. Bruington officiating. Burial will follow in
St. George Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 9 P.M. Thursday and after 8:30A.M, Friday at the funeral home.
