Irena Bennett Pipes, 101, of Brandenburg passed away Sunday July 4, 2010 at the Medco Center in
Brandenburg.
She was born August 17, 1908 in Battletown, KY the daughter of the late Marvin Frank and Harriet Effie
Haynes Bennett.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Pipesher sister, Alverta Kendall and her brother,
Truvers Bennett.
She was a member of Cold Spring Baptist Church where she was the SundaySchool Secretary for many
years.
She is survived by her daughter: Lorna “Deanie” Althouse of Battletown

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday from the Cold Spring Baptist Church in Battletown
with burial to follow in Marve Bennett Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home and after 8:30
A.M. Wednesday at the church.
