Lawrence E. Gonterman, 87, of Payneville, KY passed away, Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Hardin
Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
Lawrence was born May 28, 1924 in Cub Run, KY to the late Jessie Louis and Lennie M. Philpott
Gonterman.
Lawrence was a good Husband and father, was a United States Army Veteran of WW II and had retired
after 37 years from the P Lorillard Company in Louisville, KY.
Three Sisters and Three Brothers preceded him in death.
He is survived by: His wife, Betty Jean Gonterman of Payneville, KY, 2 Daughters, Brenda Armes of
Harriman, TN and June Roy, 2 Sons, Terry and Kenneth Gontermaan both of Payneville, Step-Son Rickey
Graff of Payneville, Granddaughter, Brittany (Jonathan) Henderson of Guston, KY, 6 Grandchildren and 7
Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 12:30 P.M. EST from the Chapel of
Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with burial to follow at 2 P.M at the Kentucky Veterans
Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 23 from 4-9 P.M. EST and after 8:30 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral
Home.
