Linda Sue Walz, 69, of Brandenburg, passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 at Norton Hospital in Louisville,
KY.
She was born August 2, 1940 in Newport, Arkansas to the late William C. and Mildred B. Lawrence Shipp.
Linda was a retired schoolteacher, who taught school for over 30 years and taught at Ekron Elementary for
over 26 years. She was also a member of the Hill Grove Church of Christ. Linda had many loves in her life,
she lover spending time at her and her fiancés (Ed Bickett) condo in Destin, FL, she loved good food and
good movies, she loved reading and she loved celebrating Holidays with her two sons Barret and Jason
and other family members and friends.
She is survived by: 2 Sons, Barret Walz of Chicago, IL and Jason Walz of Brooklyn, NY, Brother, Bill Shipp
of Franklin, TN and her fiancé, Ed Bickett of Flaherty, KY.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 29 at 12 Noon from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon
Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, June 28 from 3-9 P.M. EDT and after 8:30 A.M. Tuesday at
the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of memorial contributions to the Susan G. Komen for
