Monty Dale Preston, Age 51 of Brandenburg, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008.
He was the son of the late Amon Preston & Doris Preston Walker. A Sister, Terri Ann Paulley also
preceded him in death.
Monty was a graduate of Fern Creek High School and Eastern Kentucky University. He knew many people
through his work as an Assistant Dog Worden for Meade County, and his “Coffee Groups” that met at
Perna’s Place and Dairy Queen. Coffee was one of his favorite pass times. He was also a member of the
Fern Creek Masonic Lodge #955 F & AM.
He is survived by his Daughters, Dawn & Brandi Preston and his Wife, Donna Preston all of Brandenburg;
a Sister, Audrey (Bob) Marcum of Greenville, IN; a special friend, Claudy Greer; Nieces and Nephews who
will miss their “Uncle Monkey”; as well as a Host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home, Tuesday at 2:00 PM. Rev.
Sherman Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from
3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and after 8:30 am on Tuesday.
Expressions of Sympathy may be made to the funeral Home on behalf of the family.
