Phyllis Kay Simmons Conley, age 58, of Brandenburg, passed away Tuesday at her home.
She was a teacher at Stuart Pepper Middle School, she formerly taught at Flaherty Elementary School,
was a member of the Meade County Education Association, Kentucky Education Association, the
National Education Association and Ekron Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father Leo Simmons.
She is survived by her husband: Dr. Charles L. Conley
3 Children: Dr. Charles “Chip” (Melissa) Conley of Ashland, KY
Stephanie (Chad) Woosley of Louisville
Ryan (Kellie) Conley of Lexington, KY
Her mother: Mae Simmons Stiff of Brandenburg
2 Sisters: Judy Simmons Boyd of Elizabethtown
Brenda (Hoyt) Martin of Magnolia, KY.
3 Granddaughters: Noel, Shelby, & Andrea Conley
1 Grandson: Walker Conley

Funeral services will be at 4 P.M. Thursday from the Ekron Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Blanc
officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 P.M. Wednesday and
after 1 P.M.
Thursday at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may go to the
