Mr. Thomas Baird, age 83, of Brandenburg, KY, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Medco Center of
Brandenburg.
He was born February 15, 1925 in Jellico, TN to the late Clifford H. and Sue (Jones) Baird.
He was retires from the United Postal Service from the Louisville area, a WW II Veteran of the U.S. Marine
Corps where he saw service in the Pacific theater, a former President of the Brandenburg Chapter of NARFE,
member of the Brandenburg United Methodist Church, a former President of the Meade County Senior Citizen
Center and a member of the Irvington, KY Masonic Lodge # 868 F&AM.
His wife Billie J. Baird of Brandenburg, KY survives him.
He is also survived by: Three Daughters, Carol Stinson of Louisville, KY, Sue Baird of Clarksville, IN, Darlene
Maples of New Albany, IN; Seven Sons, Wade Baird of Clarksville, IN, Thomas C. Baird, Jr. of Clarksville, IN,
Dennis Lee Baird of Fordsville, KY, Chris Baird of Brandenburg, KY, Edgar Lee Baird; Step-Sons, Tim
Ricketts of Mt. Sterling, KY, David Ricketts of New Orleans, LA; and One Brother, Jim Baird of Harrogate, TN
Arrangements are being handled by Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home, where the family will receive
friends from 2 - 6 PM Thursday, November 6, 2008. Funeral service will be at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon
Funeral Home at 6:00 PM Thursday, November 6, 2008. Visitation will also be held Saturday, November 8,
2008 at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarksville, IN from 10:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M. Graveside service will be held
Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 2 P.M. at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.
