William Bert Parr, 63, passed away September 30, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. His parents,
Thomas S. Parr and Cora Conrad Parr Pond and his sister Beatrice Hodge, preceded him in death.
Mr. Parr was born April 14, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, IN. He lived most of his life in Florida, but also resided in
Tennessee before moving back to Indiana. He served in the U.S. Army and was most recently employed
as an over the road truck driver with Belmont Freight Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Parr; daughter, Rachel (Eddie) Bellamy; grandchildren Cade and Miley
Bellamy all of Bridgeport, AL; step-daughter Melissa Hall of North, SC; brothers John (Dianna) Parr of
Blaine, TN, David (Kristal) Parr of Taswell IN, Forrest (Barbara) Myers of Bumpus Mills, TN, Paul (Alice)
Myers of English, IN; his best friend and “little brother” Eddie Robbins and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt “thank you” to the staff and residents of Cypress Grove
Rehabilitation Center for their loving care during his illness.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 12 Noon EDT at Parr-Frans Cemetery,
Battletown, KY. Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to The American Cancer Society.
