Mildred E. “Millie” Ray, 70, of Union Star, KY, passed away January 11, 2012 at Harrison County Hospital
in Corydon, IN.
Millie was born October 17, 1941 in Louisville, KY to the late James E. and Mildred S. Whelan.
Millie was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother and had worked for Communicare here in Meade
County.
Her son William E. “Billy” Ray and Brother, Mark J. Whelan precede her in death.
She is survived by: Husband, William L. “Bill” Ray of Union Star, KY, Daughter, Cheri Ray and her Husband,
Larry Coblentz, Granddaughter, Leah M. Ray of Bowling Green, KY, 2 Sisters, Marilyn Whelan Neeley of
Auburndale, FL and Patricia Whelan McComb of Birmingham, AL and Brother, James E. Whelan, Jr. of
Huntsville, AL.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 3 P.M. EST from the Chapel of Bruington-
Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
Visitation will also be held Saturday from 9 A.M. till 3 P.M. EST at the funeral home.
